The aim of this study is to isolate the flavonoids from pomegranate peels in ethanolic extract , and identify the different types of flavonoids . The study also aimed to determine the minerals content in the pomegranate fruit . Flame photometer, U.V/Vis. spectrophotometry, X-rays fluorescence and Infrared techniques were used. The results of analysis showed that, there is a high concentration of potassium, calcium and Iron in the seeds. Also showed a low concentrations of lead, chromium, manganese, copper , zinc , rubudium , bromine and stranchium . The results showed that pomegranate peels contain flavonoids and alkaloids . According to the results of U.V/Vis and IRthe type of flavonoid was flavonol .en
