Abstract:
There has always been a need for studies to approve the hypothesis in our clinical practice and studies which present the Role of Ultrasound in diagnosis of diffuse liver diseases in KSA. This study has been done at Jubail General Hospital for patients attended for diagnostic abdominal ultrasound investigation with different complain, during a six months period extending from August 2005 to January 2006. In this study ultrasound was proved to be a good modality, and widely used due to their non invasive nature, the study tries to fulfill part of this need.
Chapter one: an introduction, original study, objective, material & methods and duration of the study.
Chapter two discusses literature review embryology, anatomy, hepatobiliary function, laboratory tests, ultrasound appearance and technique of normal liver and diseased ones.
Chapter three is about patient's age, sex, and nationality, machine used and ultrasound technique done.
Chapter four give result of the study and its graphs, figures and tables.
The last chapter presents the discussion about the study, conclusion, recommendation and references.
