Abstract:
One hundred blood samples were collected in EDTA
universal container form unrelated individuals in Alshokria
ethnic group in all parts of Sudan during the period form
1/4/2005 – to 1/7/2005 . The ABO and Rh phenotypes
performed immediately for each sample.
The frequencies of ABO and Rh phenotypes were
analyzed by using of the SPSS programme . Blood group O
was found to be the most frequent 64% , the frequency of
group A was 22% . For group B was 11% and for group AB
was 3% . In Rhesus blood group system the frequency of Rh
antigens D positive was 96%,C positive was 32%,c positive
was 91%,E positive was 16% and e positive was 99%.The
arranged phenotype frequencies of each individual was
measured and it found that the most common phenotype
cDe was 54% and Cce and cDE were very rare only was 1%
for each.
The correlations of Rh antigens were analyzed and it
found that negative significance correlation between C and c
and between E and e, but no significance correlations
between C and D antigens.
