dc.description.abstract Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is one of the modern medical imaging modalities; the main purpose of this study is to asses the side effects of MRI examinations on the vital signs (blood pressure, heart pulse, temperature and respiration rate) of human body. The role of the study is to measurement of vital signs before and after MRI examinations of 50 patients and compare between them to find the effect of MRI examinations on these vital signs. The study was carried out at MRI department in Khartoum Advanced Diagnostic Centre (KADC), in a period extended from February2007 up to September 2007. The population of the study is selected randomly, from patients referred to KADC and the total selected group include both sex with age range 15 -75 and with out special relations to weight, type of disease, occupation or tribe. The main result of this study shows change on temperature in 72% patients, also respiration changed in 68% of patients, and pulse changed in 66% patients. en_US
