Abstract:
The following thesis is about an Assessment of Applied Tumor Dose Effect in Radiotherapy Department in RICK .it has been carried out in 200 patients presented with ca .esophagus, ca breast ,ca .nesopharenx, and ca. cervix in RICK hospital ,the data from each type of cancer collected including histopathology, applied tumer dose , duration and fractionation ,then the biological effect applied and standard were founded by using the NSD concept in practical radiotherapy and difference between them has been founded. The collected data has been analyzed by using Exile soft were and it reveals that : the females were most common affected group by cancer in all type except nasopharnx cancer which males were most affected group, histopathologically ; the squamous cell carcinoma is predominate type of carcinoma for esophagus and cervix cancer which represented 74%and 84%respectevely ,invasive ductal carcinoma is most predominate type of carcinoma for breast cancer which represented 68%.and the non-keratinizing carcinoma: differentiated (type 2) is most predominate carcinoma type for nasopharnex cancer which represented 50%, the study also reveals that different types of cancer have different range of age group.
The study also reveals that the tumor dose applied in RICK hospital is differ from stander this lead to different biological effect form standard ; the applied biological effect at RICK different on all cancer case except in cervical carcinoma which receives same prescribed dose as standards one. The difference in radiation bioeffect was 12% ,9% and 3% for breast carcinoma, Nasopharynx carcinoma and esophageal carcinoma respectively, hence such variation in radiation bioeffect from the standard one might lead to recurrence of the disease or different side effect.
