Abstract:
One of the most prominent problems facing Scientists in designing solar cells nowadays is to design highly efficient solar cells by increasing its light absorbitivity. This needs a design of highly efficient solar cells having nanometer dimension in a form of a waveguide.
Since the design of such cells is difficult in Sudan, this research attempted to design microwave cells to absorb the microwaves to know how the absorption depends on the dimensions of the rectangular waveguide.
To achieve this aim, an experiment has been conducted by passing an alternating current through the waveguide. The microwave has also been passed through the waveguide. This process was made to know how the dimensions of the waveguide affect absorption. The results have show that the absorption increases with the increase of the frequencies, while out put power increases with the increase of the dimensions.
